Interests and profile

Apart from a passionate love of music in all its forms, Paul has been an active sports person and academic. Having left the Royal Marines Band service in 1987, he embarked on a plethora of qualifications.

He has studied with and attended master classes from some of the top professionals in the trombone world, people like: Don Lusher O.B.E. (Friend and mentor), Jack Dacombe, Dennis Wick, Mark Nightingale, Gordon Campbell, Paul Laurence, Tony Parsons, Dave Chandler, Chris Houlding, Jiggs Wigham, Dennis Rollins, Andy Berryman, Roger Argente, Peter Gane, Mark Eager, Eric Crees etc. to name but a few.

Over the years he has studied various martial arts (until spinal injury saw an end to that) Some  to very high levels. The martial arts studied were Judo, Kendo, Jakab, Bu-Jutsu.
